We decided to do a real simple lunch and save some funds for a real good dinner in Mersing before we head back to Johor Bahru. The lunch at Salang was lousy and perhaps expensive. Complaints of having to work on Monday crept in as time passes by. Life as a struggling worker and life as a beach boy is clearly different.

After lunch, while waiting for the jetty back to Mersing, we spent some time at the jetty looking at fishes. We were very excited because there were so many fishes and looked real big (and tasty?!) under the clear waters. Shi Yew was actually tempted to jumped down for a swim, though we can see a very thin layer of fuel floating on the waters. I suppose you can't help it. Civilisation always wins. It really sucks.

Soon, "Bye Bye Tioman” was on the agenda and we board on the rather crowded speed boat (Rm35/one way). The ferry was delayed and instead of 1730hrs, we reached Mersing at 1900hrs. We smuggled some red wine and a Jack Daniels but there were no customs officers checking. I wish Sillypore will follow what our northern neighbours are doing. After all, life really sucks, so why make it worse?

Dinner at mersing was good. Real good as we had a steamed fish, chinese style. We headed back to Johor Bahru and the gang split up. Bb (my ex) and me tried to clear the customs swiftly as we though that it was already very late (11pm) and the jams must have been dissipated. Damn no, we were stuck at the bloody jam and only cleared the Sillypore customs at 1am. Luckily all counters were opened; else customs better expect complaints, Sillypore style.

"Great" news, we still have to work tomorrow. Monday blues.

Life sucks. But every dog will have its day, not for now though.

Not-so-nice lunch. We had Bee Hoon Hailam, Nasi Goreng, Nasi Pattya, Bee Hoon Hong Kong, Sup Sayur and a Ramly Burger with cheese. Damage was Rm34. The Ah Bang waiter (or Kak kak waiteress) was not that friendly but ok.
Under the jetty. Bb (my ex) observing the school of fishes in the clear waters. The only fishes I see are swimming in fish tanks in seafood resturants.
Salang Indah (Beatuiful Salang). Bb (my ex) watching a kuching kechil (kitten) doing a lazy nap. I wish I can be the kitten doing nothing everyday except to sleep, perhaps to drink some beers. (Does cats drink beer? *Drunk*)
Exploitation. Enough said.
Bb (my ex) seen playing with the kitten. God knows what is so fun if someone disturbs you with a stupid string. I know that I won't be happy though. Perhaps I am not meant to be a cat. I don't have nine lives.
Bye bye Tioman. The team waving Pulau Tioman good bye. God knows when we will have a chance to come back here again.
Me at Mersing outside the jetty. Big signboard denoting to all the islands which you can go from Mersing. Notice that there is a "Mersing" labelled on the tiled pavement. Photo spot, I suppose. But badly maintained.
Bb (my ex) took a snap of this French child playing with the handle of his luggage. His expression was rather interesting though.
Dinner at Mersing. We had a steamed red Groupa (Rm4.5/100g), Sambal Kangkong, hot plate Tou foo and Stick calms. Wonderful dinner and fish is fresh. Rm68. Utterly cheap.
20 June 2005, 0020hrs, on the causeway. The background was the Singaporean customs. Damn bloody tried and a jam was awaiting us at Woodlands customs. Thoughts of going to work in a couple of hours time simply sucks big time.
