Made my way to Luton Airport (1 of the 3 budget airports in London other than Stansted and Gatwick) next morning to catch my flight to Barcelona and the entire process was smooth (as compared to my flight to Krakow 2 years ago). There was no gate number printed on my boarding pass though; I end up running towards my plane and became the last passenger to get onboard.

I was surprised to discover a rainy Barcelona after I stepped out from the airport. Maybe I was the jinx that brought the rain around. Did not realise that there were trains to the city and thus I opted for the direct bus connection (A1, €4.08/S$8.16) to town. After 30mins, I alighted at Universitat which was one bus stop before my actual destination. Had to walk in the rain for 30mins (without umbrella, freezing and the shops offer no shade at all!) towards my hostel (in Barri Gotic, the touristy district of the city). This was not a good idea and I probably fell sick (later) due to this.

Was so glad that I found Hostel Alberg Itaca (a dormitory bed costs €16/S$32 per night). The 8-bed dormitory was pretty new and had large lockers for safekeeping valuables. Quickly settled down and went out in search of a Citibank ATM for I only had €30 in possession. Was so glad that I found it after some searching (it was along Carrer De Balmes). Had dinner along La Rambla (all of you can laugh at me, but I just could not resist eating my 3-piece fried chicken meal in KFC for €7.20/S$14.40) and ended my day by getting 2 cans of Estrella Damm (a Catalan pilsener brewed in Barcelona since 1876) for only €0.50/S$1 at Carrefour.

I laid on bed while I was drinking my beer, somehow feeling so sleepy. It might just be the weather that was making me luthargic. But maybe I just needed a good (and long) rest.

Welcome to rainy Barcelona. I was on the bus "A1" that was going straight to town along Gran Via De LEs Corts Catalanes.

Seems like the entire Europe was raining?

Saw advertisments written in Chinese at the notice-board of an Asian supermarket along Carrer De Balmes and it reminded me of a common saying:

"Whenever there is water, there would be Chinese people".
I was getting really close to the home of the world greatest football club and I was so excited!

Sneak peek at the stadium of the world greatest football club.
At the start of the tour (17/S$34) in Camp Nou. I was just told to follow the yellow barriers. Thought that there was supposed to be a guide.

I always noticed this on the pitch during live telecasts of FC Barcelona home matches. Though I was never sure if the logo was really sprayed on the pitch until today.

This is defintely more than just a club (or Mes Que Un Club)!

Doing what all culés (or fans of FC Barcelona) should do!
"Hey, we need some cleaning up here!", says the chairs in the stadium after the emphatic 2-0 win over the arch-rivals Real Madrid in the "Clasico".
