I slept like a log after my first Fish & Chips dinner in London. Was trying to figure out what the "steel-tubes" look alike fixture was until my brother told me it is a heater. I can't imagine what will happen when that is turned on in Sillypore.

Woke up and had the remaining Fish & Chips for breakfast. Was in some kind of a rush because I got an Easyjet flight to catch at 1230hrs (to Krakow). Took a bus (£1) with an Oyster Card (i.e. equivalent of the EZ-Link in Singapore or Octopus Card in Hongkong) and set off for a Buddhist Temple (Fo Guang Si) that is right smacked in town.

While I was making my way to Luton Airport (1 hour 15mins away), I had the fortune to try a typical English Breakfast (another one of the English oily greats). Delicious at first, I think it was probably a mistake to gobble the entire oily breakfast up in seconds. My gastric was crying foul afterwards. I suppose that is another gastronomical experience (or disaster) for me.

When I got to Luton Airport (via train, £9.5, 45mins), I finally understood why my brother insist on going to the airport 4 hours before any flight. The queues at the check-in counters were amazingly long. Such queues will be unacceptable in Singapore. I was glad that I had already check-in online and only had handheld luggage. And for the very first time in my life, I thought I was going to miss a flight. It was STD-15mins (Standard Time of Departure) but I was still queuing up at the security lanes (there were 30 people in front of me). A voice appeared from the loudspeaker suddenly urging all passengers EZY2333 to Krakow (yes, that's my flight) to bypass the queues and go directly for security clearance. About 20 people (behind me) went up and join the direct queue. I guess I was not the last. The flight was delayed anyway because an air-stewardess reported sick and they wasted time getting a last minute replacement.

I suppose the actual adventure starts now.

The original English Fish & Chips (£8.75) at Sam's Fish & Chips. It was a Haddock. Served with salad and mashed peas (£1 per serving), it was great.

This is where my brother stays. Built in 1850s, it's a cozy place where Sillyporeans can only dream about.
Nothing much. A view of greyish London from a double decker bus which some bird must have mistaken the windscreen as a convenient toilet.
Oh no. Someone is going to get a parking ticket soon.
The ceiling of Fo Guang Si (Temple of the Buddha's Light), a Mahayana Buddhist temple in London. It's pretty enchanting, with the 8 Buddhas (robes in different colours) surrounding the low glow.
The "address" if anyone is interested to visiting the temple in London.
Doing it in the Bond Street Underground Station.
As the coffee cup stared at me, I realised one can eat and drink in the Underground.
My FIRST oily English Breakfast (£3.75, comes with a coffee)! At Bridge Cafe, near West Hampstead. Although I thought it was quite expensive (hey, it's almost S$12 for a breakfast!), my brother says its's pretty low end.
Boarding my EasyJet flight to Krakow. It was an A319 and sat at the last second row. Beer will have to wait. It is €5 per can.
