The "some" story.

Along these years, I have in possession some photos which ALWAYS invoke memories when I view them (a.k.a Kodak moments). Some feelings are naturally sweet, while some show the bitter after-taste. Some are taken by me, some by Bb or passing clouds who happened to be there. Some were taken in the spur of the moment; some were carefully crafted to ensure perfection (my style). Some are so corny just to gain attention; some are so innocent that I cannot believe that I have taken it.

I am not an exhibitionist. Nevertheless, I felt that it will be a real waste not to share these pictures in the web though it will be really unknown whether the same memories can be invoked in other people. I seriously doubt so. Everybody's got their most inner memories that are so personal and valuable to them. They built a person. These built mine.

And in my life, I loved them all....

Thailand/Chiang Rai/Doi Tung Flat Village. I went to a community mission with my univeristy. An ice-cream man came to the village in a motocycle and we got all the children in the whole village an ice-cream (5B). The feeling was wonderful. Look at how the kids smiled. Singaporean children would not haved cared. They will be more concerned with their LAN gaming and fast food. - Dec 1999
My colleagues and me posing for a picture when I was a clerk immediately I graduated. Low pay and constant worrying about my future, my "clicks" were so united and we when to print a polo-T Shirt with names and numbers on it. These offered me some comfort. I was the fourth from the left (or the right). - Jun 2003
Pp and Bb at Sultan Shoal, Singapore. It is an island under PSA and it contains one of the 5 lighthouses built by Singapore. A very small island, you can walk one end to another end in 5 minutes. Pp and Bb was having an argument and my friend captured the Kodak moment. - Jul 2002
Bb and Pp catching mini crabs at Sultan Shoal. They have a man-made lagoon where you can swim but the water was not that clean though. It was low tide. - Jul 2002
The thirst of a man. Our lives are all about getting air, water and food. All others are just plain "emptiness". Enough said. - May 2005
At Botero Exhibition in Sinagpore Art Museum (SAM). The sky and the human autonomy. - Nov 2004
Bb at Telok Ayer Market. The apparent peacefulness in Shenton Way on a weekend as compared to a weekday. - Nov 2004
The jobless young punk in a Radiohead T-Shirt. Shenton Way - Nov 2004
Everybody must get stoned. An evening with Beer Chang. Chinese Boy thinking of Thailand in gloomy downtown Sillypore - Aug 2004
Bintang Zero with photo of Bb and Pp at Singapore River. Was just playing with my camera during the boring Chinese New Year. - Feb 2005
Young executive breaking down when drinking Teh Tarik in China Square. Dont worry, this was just a corny shot though it was getting difficult in office.- Nov 2004
Bb viewing Jurong East from a padgoda in Chinese Garden. The night view was wonderful and the breeze was cooling. - Feb 2005
In the Hainanese Cemetery Pekan Nanas, Pontain, Malaysia. It was Qing Ming and everybody rose up early on a sunday morning to visit their departed relatives. People playing with firecrackers and having a great time.It was after all the only time where the whole family can get together as one.- Mar 2005
On the same day, we went to another cemetery in Ulu Choh (Pontain, Malaysia) as well.My granduncle loves Chicken Rice with chicken liver. A Guinness stout to go with it as well. After some time, the can of stout was foaming (probably due to the heat). My aunty immediately though that it was an indication and asked some 4 digit numbers for the local lottery. 7791 I think. It didn't strike though.- Mar 2005
At the memorial service held in Pontain, Malaysia. It was a special service for 11 departed relatives. We got them a real big house with mutliple servants and 2 cars. There were life size models in the ceremony and for these 2 days, it seems that there were all back, just like the old days. Felt a sense of loss when all these were burned at the end of the ceremony. - May 2005

It came to life for 2 days. They were with us and now they were gone again. The feeling was bittersweet though I suppose this is what it is all about with life. We were just doing our time. - May 2005
Baby you can drive my car, cause I going to be a star. In a Mercedes Benz, complete with your personal chauffeur, the underworld style of course. - May 2005
Sun rise in Songkhla City. Very lovely indeed. 6am in the morning. Bb woke up and took pictures while I was still asleep. This picture captures the quiet and tranquility of Southern Thailand. The peace before the storm. Go to the Penang/Songkhla link for more. - Dec 2003
Black-faced Bb at Batu Ferrengi in front of white horse. One of the very few pictures which Bb gave the unhappy look. I think I irritated her by being rude(?). Nothing much except for some 4-star hotels and Guest Houses. An ok place to chill out. This beach will become world-famous when uncle Tsunami hits 1 year later. Go to the Penang/Songkhla link for more. - Dec 2003
I swore that this will be my working uniform someday. I force Bb to take a picture of me drinking Singha by the bottle and holding a Lonely Planet Thailand. This is life! Go to the Bangkok/Chiang Rai link for more. - Aug 2004
